Our Player Pathway: From Fun to Finals
We provide a structured player pathway that allows every child to progress at their own pace.
1. Development Sessions
Our fun-based sessions are the perfect starting point for new and aspiring players. These sessions focus on building fundamental skills, boosting confidence, and fostering a love for the game in a supportive environment.
2. The Cruz Basketball In-House League
Once players have a grasp of the fundamentals, they can join our exclusive in-house league. This is a perfect stepping stone for beginners and intermediate players from 8 to 16 years old who want to gain experience in organized game situations. This league focuses on participation over performance, providing a pressure-free environment to learn and grow. We have separate leagues for our Under-12s and Under-16s, as well as mini-tournaments for our Under-8s.
3. Local League Competition
For players ready to take their game to the next level, our competitive teams compete against other clubs in local leagues for the Under-10s, Under-12s, Under-14s, and Under-16s. Our main basketball hub for competitive training is in Barnet, with new local league teams forming in Enfield this season.
4. National League
We are committed to helping our athletes reach their full potential. For the 2026-27 season, we are looking to enter teams into National League competitions. This is the highest level of youth basketball and is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our players and coaches.
Girls Only Sessions
At Cruz Sports Coaching, our mission is to break down barriers and inspire more girls to step onto the court. We are committed to increasing female participation in sports by providing a high-energy, supportive, and inclusive environment where girls aged 8–14 can thrive.
Why Girls-Only Sessions?
We know that girls often face unique challenges in sport. Our sessions are designed to build more than just technical skill; we focus on the Cruz STEP Framework to develop:
Unstoppable Confidence: A safe space to learn, lead, and take risks.
Elite Skill Development: Professional coaching tailored to all ability levels.
Lasting Friendships: Joining a sisterhood of athletes who support one another.
Our goal is simple: to ensure every girl feels she belongs in the game, helping her develop the physical health and mental resilience that stays with her for life.
