Remy’s Story: From Our Club to the Pros
Remy’s journey is a powerful testament to the player pathway we offer. Starting in our Under-14s programme, Remy honed his skills and dedication under our coaches’ guidance. His hard work paid off, and he went on to play professionally for the London Lions. We are immensely proud of his achievements and his success serves as an inspiration to every young athlete in our club. “Cruz Sports Coaching gave me the skills and confidence I needed to take my game to the next level. I’ll always be grateful for their support.” — Remy, Cruz Sports Coaching Alumni

A Summer of Success at Hyland House: Fun, Skills, and Growth
Date: 22nd August 2025
Our recent three-week holiday camp at Hyland House School was a massive success, delivering a fun and impactful experience for young people aged 3 to 11. While we had a great time playing games and engaging in sports, our true focus was on helping our members develop crucial life skills that will benefit them far beyond the sports court.
We worked hard to create a unique curriculum that focused on:
Social Skills: Encouraging teamwork, communication, and making new friends.
Thinking Skills: Helping players make quick decisions and solve problems on the fly.
Emotional Skills: Building resilience, maturity, and a positive mindset.
Physical Skills: Improving fitness, coordination, and agility through fun activities.
We were incredibly proud to see the growth and maturity in our players. The older children took on leadership roles, supporting and inspiring our younger members. Many young players were so inspired by the experience that they can’t wait to come back for our next camp! To celebrate everyone’s hard work, we gave out medals, trophies, and camp t-shirts. The feedback from both the players and their parents was overwhelmingly positive, confirming that our approach to fun-based, life skills coaching is truly making a difference.

A Heartfelt Shout-out to Cally: The Power of Play and Growth Date: 22nd August 2025
We want to give a massive shout-out to Cally, one of our youngest members, who has shown incredible growth and maturity at our recent camps. When Cally, who is just five years old, first joined us, he was quite emotional when things didn’t go his way. He felt the pressure of having to win, a feeling many young athletes can relate to.
At our camps, we emphasise that winning and losing are not the most important things. Our motto is simple: it’s all about taking part, having fun, and learning to work with others.
Through fun and engaging play, we teach young people skills that matter most:
Teamwork & Kindness
Self-Control & Resilience
Confidence & Determination
Social & Self-Awareness
We are so proud to say that Cally has embraced these principles completely. In the last week, we’ve seen a remarkable turnaround in his behaviour and attitude. He is now happy to take part, he keeps his head up, and he enjoys every moment without getting upset. His newfound confidence and bright smile are a testament to the fact that our approach truly works.
Well done, Cally. You’ve been an inspiration to all of us.
